We Collaborated to Develop Learning Methods and Tools to Improve Basic Skills for Adults
We presented our first project to the EU Commission under the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) in June 2019 in order to contribute to developing basic skills of adults with need-specific learning methods and tools.
Within the scope of VP / 2019/005 Upskilling Pathway under EaSI / Progress Axis, Co:K has collaborated with Kocaeli Governorship, Kocaeli University, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Union of Municipalities of Turkey and Kocaeli Chamber of Industry. The project, which was developed with Kocaeli University application, is based on the low results of our country's PIAAC (International Assessment of Adult Competencies) assessment. With the intervention logic and tools it has developed for Kocaeli scale, it aims to provide innovative examples to educational services for improving the basic skills of adults. It designs a learning model that can be disseminated at the national level. The needs map, which will be obtained through detailed analysis and field studies, is the basis for the learning processes to be developed. In the local ecosystem, the roles and responsibilities that complement each other are defined to the relevant stakeholders. Literacy, basic numerical skills and basic digital skills training programmes for adults are structured with a tailor-made, holistic approach. Learning processes are structured in collaborative production environments designed to provide qualifications that are valid in the labour market.
